About
Quintin is my name but folks call me “Q” or “Quint’n”
Here’s a little about me and why I’m sharing with you . . .
My story isn’t uncommon. I worked for Corporate America with a minimum three hour commute on good days. I had to work overtime, and every other weekend.
There was little time spent with my wife, or doing the things I wanted to do.
Eventually, I became a casualty of corporate down-sizing like so many employed in the Information Technology arena. When I received my walking papers, the choice was either to complain (which doesn’t solve a problem) or view this as a fork in the road (seek another job with more of the same or… move toward something else).
Taking time to seriously think things through, I began to jot down some notes and came to the following conclusions:
- I did not want to return to a grinding schedule that kept me from away from home so many hours a day.
- I was tired of working my butt off for only incremental raises and a few days of “earned vacation” every year.
- There is no employer who can pay me enough for what I’m truly worth.
So, it was time to turn the page and begin a new chapter.
I was lead to read Robert Kiyosaki’s book “The Business School.” I learned about a business model that gives the average person the ability to start a home-based business for a few hundred dollars and have all the tax benefits of a big corporation along with the ability to make a CEO kind of salary.
Homebased? CEO kind of salary? Sounds good.
Long story, short:
- I crafted my vision
- I did my due diligence
- I identified folks who are already successful at what I wanted to do and learned (and I’m still learning) from them.
- I stepped out in faith
. . . and now I’m experiencing some phenomenal results. But none of this would be possible if I didn’t make changes in my mindset and my habits.
IF you aspire for something deeper and more meaningful in life, more control over your finances, better health, you name it . . . my question is: are you prepared for change?
If so, do some serious soul-searching and ask yourself:
1) Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?
2) Am I happy at where I am today?
3) Have I done enough for myself (in the way of personal development and/or health improvement)?
4) What do I really want?
5) Is it worth it for me to make changes in my thinking and habits to achieve what I want?
There’s an adage: you need to BECOME who you need to be in order to achieve (or receive) what you really want in life. “Becoming” is about change . . . change requires action.
And this is what this website is about . . . sharing the top tips that can help you, my friend, change YOUR life.
